Iran/United Kingdom: Tehran Furious With British Sanctions

The Iran parliament voted 171 to four to expel the British Ambassador Dominick Chilcott after the U.K. decided to sanction Iran’s central bank . . . Tehran threatened similar punishment to any country that was “behaving in a similar manner” . . . Tehran is seeking to dissuade other countries from passing further sanctions on its central bank and oil industry . . . This move appears to be a warning to the European Union, which is set to consider a French proposal this week that would ban Iranian oil exports.
