Fred Fleitz, managing editor of LIGNET and a long-time former CIA analyst, warns in a special interview of the danger of miscalculation on Iran as a European oil embargo threatens to tighten the noose around its neck.“The Iranians have really isolated themselves,” said Fleitz. “…especially over the last week with tough talk, threats to close the Strait of Hormuz, and I think the international community has simply decided the time has come to basically tell the Iranians that they have to stop their nuclear weapons program, they have to stop their sponsorship of terrorism, they have to start acting like a responsible member of the international community.”
